It seems as though every time we turn around, there’s more positive news regarding second-year quarterback Jameis Winston circulating. Whether it’s the shape that he’s in or coaches raving about him on the field and in the locker room, Winston is cementing himself even further into the role of the leader, and face, of the Buccaneers’ franchise.
Offensive coordinator Todd Monken expressed last week his impressions of Jameis after getting on the field and working with him;
“It’s who he is, how he’s wired. I think that’s one thing that’s a misnomer. I think from the outside you would have looked at it and with all the things that were publicized in the past about him and who he is, I was dead wrong.
