Bishop finds comfort zone in Game 2

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TAMPA — With his first career playoff win behind him, Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop had an admission to make Saturday.

“I felt a lot better today,” Bishop said after stopping 23 Detroit shots in Tampa Bay’s 5-1 playoff triumph. “I was a little nervous in Game 1. ... I was able to play the puck a little more today.”

The Red Wings went more than 15 minutes without a shot in the opening period, but Bishop needed to be stout in the second period as Detroit applied steady pressure, maintained possession in Tampa Bay’s defensive zone and fired 12 shots.
