There was a lot of hype and anticipation for the newly named, Spring Showcase, for the Syracuse football team. I think the best way to summarize it was best put by William Shakespeare, “Much Ado About Nothing”.
While it was in fact an actual football game, to the delight of many. It just was hard to know what to root for, we teased that in our top five things to watch out for yesterday.
Lets start off with our reaction to the game:
- Orange defeat White 14-0
- The scores came by way of a pick-six by Antwan Cordy (welcome back) and a pretty 35 yarder by Eric Dungey (welcome back)
The entire game was mostly a defensive grind with a collection plate of turnovers that included
interceptions and fumble recoveries alike.
