Syracuse Signee Desiree Elmore is Connecticut Girls' Basketball Player of the Year

Incoming Syracuse Orange freshman Desiree Elmore has added on to her high school career by being named the 2015-16 Connecticut Girls' Basketball Player of the Year by the New Haven Register. Elmore helped lead Capital Prep to four consecutive state titles.

Elmore's senior year stat line is pretty impressive. She averaged 26.7 points. 15.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. On the defensive side of the ball she averaged 3.7 steals and 3.5 blocks per contest. In Elmore's four years at Capital Prep the school never lost a game to a team from Connecticut.
