Syracuse, N.Y. — That was one weary face worn by Rick Pitino earlier today as he addressed his school's decision to toss the 2015-16 Louisville Cardinals into the ravine.
They're done, the Cards are. Done, thanks to that sex scandal. Done, thanks to the Louisville administration's declaration to ban its basketball team from participation in any postseason activity next month and into April.
Remember, it was just last year that we saw this movie right here in our town when the folks up there at Syracuse University pulled the plug on the Orange after they realized that Jim Boeheim's bunch had broken rules it had agreed to follow.
