Syracuse has hired Steve Stanard to be the new defensive ends coach. Stanard most recently was the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Wyoming from 2014-2016.
“My family and I are excited and thankful to (head) Coach (Dino) Babers for this opportunity,” Stanard said in a press release. “The football tradition at Syracuse is second to none and I very much look forward to assisting Coach Babers in achieving the goals he’s set for this program – both on and off the field.”
After being a student assistant coach and graduate assistant his first three years out of school, Stanard started as formally as a defensive coordinator in 1991.
