Syracuse was able to secure their second-straight win of the season on a timely carom and follow-through by senior Eva Gordon.
The Orange (2-0-1) faced their toughest test of the young season when Army (0-2-0) came into town yesterday afternoon.
For the second-straight game, it took until the second half for Syracuse to break through. They had had several chances throughout the first 45 minutes but were unable to figure out the right combination. Junior forward Eva Gordon finally found the back of the net off of a corner kick in the 54th minute. The ball ricocheted off of several players before getting to Gordon’s right boot for the score.
