Former Syracuse forward B.J. Johnson declares for the 2017 NBA Draft

Former Syracuse forward B.J. Johnson has declared for the 2017 NBA Draft, but will not sign with an agent, according to a press release by La Salle University.

“My goal is to play the game I love professionally,” Johnson said in the announcement. “This decision will give me the opportunity to test myself, better myself and receive important feedback in pursuit of this goal.”

Johnson transferred to La Salle following his sophomore season at Syracuse. In his last year with the Orange, he averaged a meager 4.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 14.6 minutes of playing time.
