Jermain Defoe has said he feels 'blessed' to have been friends with Bradley Lowery following the Sunderland fan's death on Friday.
Six-year-old Bradley, who had been suffering terminal cancer, became a well known and loved face after appearing as a mascot at several football matches.
The young Sunderland fan became close friends with Defoe, and accompanied the striker as a mascot for England's World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.
The pair were close away from the pitch too, with Defoe invited to Bradley's sixth- birthday party, and also spending time with the youngster as his condition worsened.
