Micky Gray has called Sunderland a ‘complete mess’ and urged the club to bring in a ‘young, hungry and fresh’ manager following David Moyes’ resignation.

The Scot stepped down as Black Cats boss on Monday afternoon, having failed to keep the Wearside outfit in the Premier League.

It appeared he was willing to stay in charge for the 2017/18 Championship campaign, but one day after the end of the 2016/17 season Sunderland announced he had resigned without compensation.
