ULM wins first ever Sun Belt Women’s Tennis Championship
NEW ORLEANS – No. 1 seed ULM outlasted No. 2 seed South Alabama to win its first Sun Belt Conference women’s tennis championship in program history.

With the win, the Warhawks earn the league’s automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship.

ULM outlasted South Alabama in a 3 hour, 46 minute thriller that came down to the No. 5 singles match between ULM’s Karolina Snita and South Alabama’s Laura Matuskova. With all matches complete, Snita and Matuskova battled in a 3 hour, 34 minute duel which Snita claimed in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 to deliver the match-clinching victory.
