Texas State's season ends in CIT quarterfinals

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team saw its season come to an end Saturday afternoon in Strahan Coliseum in a 49-44 loss against Saint Peter's in the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament.

The Bobcats ended the year with a 22-14 record while the Peacocks improved to 21-13.

Texas State scored the first 14 points of the game that was capped off by three free throws from Nijal Pearson. SPU did not tally its first points until 11:04 left in the opening stanza on a layup from Antwon Portley. During the run Bobby Conley scored five points.
