We all love a great feel-good story in college football, and Western Kentucky Hilltoppers showed us all what happens when you work hard and dedicate yourself to what you’re passion about.
When called up by Coach Mike Sanford, defensive back Ta’Corian “Coco” Darden thought he was going to simply lead his team in a chant to end the day’s practice, having no idea what was coming. After Darden was finished with the chant, Coach Sanford called the team together, made a quick statement, and announced that Darden was placed on scholarship for the Hilltoppers. The team poured out in overwhelming joy, and even his mother shed tears of pride for her son as he told her the news.
