Stanford Football Recruiting Update: A Look At Stanford's Remaining Targets

David Shaw's 2015 recruiting class stands at 16 players, and Shaw doesn't see the Cardinal bumping that number up too much higher.

According to Shaw, Stanford's finalized class will likely add just three or four names to the 16 already committed. Tennessee DE Dylan Jackson became the 16th commit on Sunday, and there are just a handful of other names the Cardinal are pursuing.

Shaw told the San Jose Mercury-News that this year won't include a 2012-style signing day bonanza that saw five top prospects pick the Cardinal, and he also mentioned that Stanford is more interested in landing the best players available than recruiting at areas of need.

While this isn't a comprehensive list of the players Stanford is still recruiting, we've put together a quick breakdown of the top prospects Stanford still has a realistic shot at landing:

CB Frank Buncom IV - St Augustine (San Diego, CA)

A four-star CB also being chased by Stanford's archrivals in Berkeley, Buncom is the #15 CB in the Class of 2015. Here's what we had to say about him on Saturday.

RB Bryce Love - Wake Forest, NC (Wake Forest-Rolesville)

A versatile, extremely quick runner, Love (pictured above) appears to have narrowed his decision down to Stanford and UNC. The 4-Star RB is the #6 all-purpose back in this recruiting class, per 247 Sports.

S Arrington Farrar - Atlanta, GA (Woodward Academy)

The 4-Star Georgia native is the #15 safety in the Class of '15, and Michigan and Notre Dame have also been tracking him closely. Wisconsin has emerged as a surprising dark horse, however.

S Justin Reid - Geismar, LA (Dutchtown)

A 3-Star safety out of Louisiana, Reid is down to Stanford, Notre Dame and LSU. It sounds very much like LSU is his most likely destination, but Stanford already has a 3-Star safety committed in Ben Edwards and a higher-rated prospect still on the board in Arrington Farrar.

OLB Jordan Fox - Jersey City, NJ (St. Peters Prep)

UVA and Syracuse are also in the chase for the three-star OLB. The Cardinal are in pole position, but UVA are making a late push.

DE Anree Saint-Amour - Suwanee, GA (North Gwinnett)

Very likely to end up with the Cardinal, Saint-Amour is a 3-Star DE who reportedly had an excellent visit two weekends ago. He's one of Stanford's best options to improve their defensive line depth.
