Four-star cornerback Frank Buncom IV explains why he chose Stanford

For coveted cornerback commit Frank Buncom, there are a couple key reasons why he chose Stanford over an impressive list of offers from schools like Cal, Notre Dame, and Vanderbilt on Tuesday night.

"My comfort level on campus," Buncom said, via 247Sports. "My interaction with the current players on campus."

When he informed coach David Shaw of his decision, let's just say the Cardinal head man was pleased.

"He was rather ecstatic when I told him," Buncom said. "When he first started recruiting me I told him they lead because of all they offer."

Ranked as the #15 cornerback and #19 prospect out of California in the Class of 2015 (per 247Sports), Buncom is ready to get to work.

"Stanford is getting an intelligent football player that plays fast," Buncom said. "I'm a determined guy that will put in the extra work."

Cardinal land a "tremendous athlete" in 3-star OLB Jordan Fox

St. Peter's Prep (NJ) head coach Rich Hansen had plenty to say about 3-star outside linebacker Jordan Fox's decision to commit to Stanford on Tuesday.

"There are four or five schools in the country that are no brainers for our kids and Stanford is on of those schools," Hansen said, via 247Sports."They have a great track record with Coach (David) Shaw, and they were diligent with him in recruiting him. David had some things to work on to get into Stanford and he did those things and I think that shows his commitment to the school."

The 6-foot-3, 228-pounder chose the Cardinal over a laundry list of quality programs including Boston College, Virginia, Miami, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin. With his commitment, Hansen says that Fox will provide some key ingredients to the Cardinal's defensive mix.

"A tremendous athlete," Hansen said. "A kid that has a tremendous motor, high football IQ.

"I'm excited for him. It's a great fit and he's going to be a great player for them."

Fox posted 80 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles in his senior season, helping lead St. Peter's to a state championship.
