Four-star tight end Kaden Smith (Flower Mound, TX) announced his commitment to Stanford over the weekend on Twitter, picking the Cardinal over teams like Alabama and Texas:
Smith pointed to how Stanford uses tight ends in their offense and their academic prestige as his reasons for picking the school.
"I like how they keep improving," Smith said via 247 sports. "Last year they were in a slump but this year I think they'll do really well. Coach (David) Shaw is a great coach.
The four-star recruit is ranked as the No. 2 tight end in the country.
