Having already contributed to two leg injuries and a recent absence from the lineup, Dexter Fowler’s chronic foot pain reached a point Saturday night that he could no longer stand.
“I think his exact quote was: ‘I don’t have a leg to stand on,’” Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said. “That’s concerning.”
For the second time in as many homestands, the Cardinals made multiple moves on one day to reshape the look of the clubhouse. But the extent of the changes won’t be plain until the team knows when, and in what health, Fowler will be able to return to the lineup.
