Former Cardinals pitcher Randy Flores has been named St. Louis' director of scouting and will begin serving in that role Tuesday.
Flores, 40, has been involved in coaching, scouting and broadcasting since his eight-year career ended after the 2010 season. He also holds a master's degree in postsecondary administration/sports administration from USC.
