ST. LOUIS • After first baseman Matt Adams left Tuesday's game with a strained right quadriceps muscle and was placed on the 15-day disabled list, Mark Reynolds will take his place in the field. But it will be shortstop Jhonny Peralta who moves into Adams' cleanup spot as the Cardinals look to sweep the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at Busch Stadium.
Peralta, who hit fifth yesterday, is batting .308 this season with seven home runs. He has already homered once off the Diamondbacks this series, which was a 10th-inning walk-off shot to left field on Monday.
