The St. Louis Cardinals opened the season with a win on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball two weeks ago, and added another victory on the national telecast this Sunday. With their work in between, the Cards sit atop the NL Central after two weeks of baseball.
Their 8-3 record would indicate that there’s not much to scrutinize with the team at this time; however, there is still one major facet of the game where the St. Louis Cardinals continue to lag behind: Power.
The Cardinals, as was the case over the past two seasons, are at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to home runs.
