Rockies tie Cardinals on fourth-inning homer

Colorado pitcher Chris Rusin tied the Cardinals with a 382-foot two-run home run off Carlos Martinez in the top of the fourth inning.

For Rusin, it was his first career home run. Earlier in the inning, Nick Hundley brought D.J. LeMahieu home from first base with an RBI double. The Rockies scored in the top of the first with Nolan Arenado's RBI double.

The Cardinals were able to pull ahead of the Rockies in the bottom of the second with Matt Carpenter's three-run home run to center field.

The score is now tied 4-4 going into the bottom of the fourth.
