St. Louis Blues: Clock Could Be Ticking With The Nail Yakupov Experiment

Related Topics: Nail Yakupov, Mike Yeo

Nail Yakupov has been scratched in seven of the Blues’ past eight games and has played in only three contests since Mike Yeo took over. He only has two points over his past 26 games and none in the 2017 calendar year.

The 23 year-old has cooled off considerably since scoring a crucial go-ahead goal in the Blues home opener. He averaged roughly 28 points per season in his first four years with Edmonton. But, at this current rate, it may be difficult for him to reach half of that.

With St. Louis competing for a lower Central Division playoff spot or a wild card entry, it may be difficult to put out skaters struggling to produce.
