Patrik Berglund To Have Shoulder Surgery, Be Re-Evaluated In Four Months

The season doesn't even have to be underway to get unfortunate news updates, it seems. Forward Patrik Berglund injured himself training this off-season, hurting the shoulder that he injured in 2013-2014. He will be evaluated in four months after undergoing shoulder surgery. Hopefully his right shoulder will be good to go after that time, and he will be able to re-join the team instead of needing further evaluation.

For those keeping track, there are 42 days left until opening night.

What does this mean? It more than likely means that Magnus Paajarvi might see some more playing time than expected, or Ty Rattie will get a longer look this year.
