It’s been three years since The Basketball Tournament was created by Jon Mugar, and Overseas Elite is still riding a perfect record.
After an 81-77 victory against the third seeded Boeheim’s Army team, Overseas Elite is one win away from the two-million-dollar cash prize awarded to the champions.
Overseas Elite has been led all tournament by D.J. Kennedy and Errick McCollum II, and both continued their strong tournaments on Tuesday night. McCollum II had a team high 18 points, and Kennedy chipped in 11 points, six rebounds, and seven assists.
After a strong start from the team of Syracuse alumni, Overseas Elite went on a 13-0 run to take control, and never surrendered the lead.
