Soccer season begins the college sports season. Both St. John’s men’s and women’s squads are hoping for bigger seasons; the men were 6-7-4 (Wins-Losses-Ties) overall, while the more successful women’s side were 11-4-5, making it to the semifinals of the Big East conference tournament before falling to Marquette.
With the beginning of the soccer season around the corner, the Big East honored three St. John’s soccer players, two from the women’s side and one from the men’s team, by naming them to the preseason all-conference team.
Seniors Shea Connors and Allie Moar were named to the team after their strong junior campaigns, while Harry Cooksley was one of only two unanimous selections, along with Xavier’s Cory Brown.
