Southern Miss is Big Easy-bound.
The destination of the Golden Eagles’ second straight bowl game was revealed Sunday afternoon, pitting them against Louisiana-Lafayette’s Ragin’ Cajuns in the New Orleans Bowl. The game is set to kick off at 8 p.m. on Dec. 17 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Southern Miss and ULL both had to win their season finales to achieve bowl eligibility. The Golden Eagles downed Louisiana Tech 39-24 on Nov. 25, to reach 6-6, while Mark Hudspeth’s squad trounced Louisiana-Monroe 30-3 on Saturday to get to .500.
