The national championship game is over, the college football season is complete and we’re now on to everyone’s favorite part of the offseason: the recruiting silly season.

Between now and Feb. 1 the fortunes of your favorite college football team will hang on the decisions of a group of 25 or so 18-to-21-year-old men. Some of them will not be heard from again until senior day. Others will become the foundation for success. Which will do which? Who knows.

Recruiting makes all kinds of normally reasonable adults do incredibly silly things, like repeatedly Tweet at said prospects in a valiant but misguided hope to alter his decision.
