Mississippi’s FBS programs suffered another bad weekend.
Mississippi State started Week 7 with a double-overtime 28-21 loss at BYU, one that likely ended the Bulldogs’ chances of reaching a bowl game for the seventh consecutive season.
Ole Miss then lost its third consecutive game against Arkansas, a defeat that dropped the Rebels to 3-3 overall and 0-2 against teams from their division.
Southern Miss capped the weekend with a 45-10 loss at LSU, though the Golden Eagles, a 25-point underdog, at least entered halftime with the score tied at 10-10.
