By dusk Saturday, 253 players' names had been called at the NFL Draft. By dusk Sunday, countless others -- including six USF guys -- had landed deals as undrafted free agents, earned mini-camp tryouts or been invited to single-day workouts. Byrd's cellphone never buzzed.
USF's second-leading tackler, the only Bull chosen for January's East-West Shrine Game, said Wednesday he hasn't heard a peep from an NFL club since the draft started last Thursday.
