Freshman Forward Malik Fitts “Day-to-Day” with Ankle Injury

It’s been an awful season for the USF men’s basketball team, with the suspension then transfer of starting point guard Jahmal McMurray, the firing of head coach Orlando Antigua in early January, and a pending NCAA investigation. Now the Bulls may have taken another shot to the chin with the injury of freshman forward Malik Fitts.

Fitts injured his ankle in practice yesterday and was seen in a walking boot. When asked for confirmation, USF said that the boot was just a “precaution” and that the forward is “day-to-day.” Let’s hope the injury isn’t that serious - the Bulls cannot afford to lose anymore bodies this year.
