Thanks to some major donations, South Carolina is making steady progress in its plan to construct a football operations center.
The school has received five separate donations with values of at least $1 million each, the university announced over the weekend.
In addition to those gifts, which total more than $5 million, the school also has received 18 other donations of at least $100,000 each.
The project still needs to be approved by the state.
“The football operations facility represents our most ambitious project to date and we are hopeful of receiving state approval in the near future,” South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner said in a statement.
