LSU defeated South Carolina 11-0 on Saturday to eliminate the Gamecocks from the SEC tournament.
The game ended after seven innings because of the 10-run rule in effect for the tournament. LSU scored its 11 runs in the first three innings, including six runs in the third.
The Gamecocks (35-25) will now have to wait to see if three wins at the SEC tournament are enough to help their season continue. The NCAA selection show is noon Monday on ESPN2.
