COLUMBIA — Perry Orth will prepare as if he’ll be South Carolina’s starting quarterback Thursday night. But it might be game day until he finds out if that’s indeed the case.
“I guess they’re still waiting to make a decision,” Orth said after practice Friday. “I think they’ll make it either the night before the game, or the day of. So I guess we’ll find out.”
Head coach Will Muschamp will not name a starter prior to the opener against Vanderbilt, and has indicated he might wait to inform the quarterbacks themselves until the eve of the game.
