T.J. Hopkins delivered a pinch-hit, three run home run in the seventh inning Friday to lift South Carolina past Kentucky 3-1 at the SEC tournament.
The Gamecocks (35-24) advance to face LSU at 1 pm Saturday at SEC tournament with a bid in the championship game on the line.
Hopkins’ blast was the Gamecocks’ first pinch-hit homer of the season and first since Matt Williams had one last year vs Rhode Island in the NCAA tournament.
