As expected, the annual college basketball carousel has spun around to South Carolina.
Rising sophomore Sedee Keita will not return to the Gamecocks in 2017-18, he announced on Friday. He was the highest-rated recruit of coach Frank Martin’s 2017 class.
“I would like to announce that I will be transferring from the University of South Carolina to further my education and basketball career elsewhere,” Keita Tweeted. “I would like to thank coach Frank Martin and the staff for the experience I had here.”
The 6-9 forward averaged 9.6 minutes over 29 games, supplying minutes in relief of starting posts Chris Silva and Maik Kotsar.
