Tony Morrell of TheBigSpur reported Friday morning that the South Carolina Gamecocks are still the top choice for class of 2018 four-star wide receiver Josh Vann out of Tucker, Georgia.
“I can still say that because of the people and coaches. It feels like a second home,” he told Morrell.
Although Vann named USC as an early leader months ago, Georgia has since made him a priority in-state target. South Carolina retaining their top position despite a full-court press from the Bulldogs is a testament to receivers coach Bryan McClendon. Vann has stated on multiple occasions that his strong relationship with McClendon is a big reason why he favors the Gamecocks.
