After the start time getting pushed back by about an hour, stormy conditions in and around Columbia ended Sunday's rubber game between the Gamecocks and Gators early. They only made it to the middle of the fourth inning before a long delay, which ended with the decision to cancel the game because of continuing weather issues.
It's unfortunate, because this was a huge game with conference and national implications, and it probably would've been really enjoyable to watch these teams battle it out for a full game's worth of innings. It's also a bummer because Adam Hill was really cruising on the mound.
