T.R. Miller's JoJo Booker, Hunter Brittain turn down pro baseball, plan to play at South Alabama

The T.R. Miller High School duo of pitcher JoJo Booker and catcher Hunter Brittain have turned down professional baseball and plan to play at South Alabama next season, they confirmed to AL.com on Friday.

Both players were drafted by the Los Angeles Angels, Booker in the fifth round and Brittain in the 15th. But instead of playing together in professional ball, they have decided to continue as teammates with the Jaguars.

"I'm not going to say his decision wouldn't have affected mine, but I think from the start of all this, we kind of knew where our hearts were, and where we really wanted to go, and that was South," Brittain said.
