NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference office released individuals named to the league's Commissioner's List and Academic Honor Roll for the 2016-17 academic year on Tuesday, and for the second season in a row the University of South Alabama Department of Athletics had 171 student-athletes recognized.
In matching the department's number from the 2015-16 campaign, it marks the third consecutive year that USA has set or tied its record for number of honorees.
The group of Jaguars included 93 who made the Sun Belt Commissioner's List — which requires a grade-point average of 3.
