Man Utd set to sign Pogba as Real Madrid quits race

The Juventus midfielder will return to Old Trafford in a world-record 110 million euro deal after the European champion decided against making its own move to acquire him.

Manchester United is set to seal the signing of Paul Pogba from Juventus for 110 million euros ($121.9M) after Real Madrid dropped out of the race for the Frenchman.

Goal understands that United has always been in pole position to sign Pogba despite Madrid's admiration, and Juventus hopes to have the deal concluded before the end of the week.

Zinedine Zidane is a fan of his compatriot but Madrid is unwilling to match the world-record fee United will pay, as well as meet Pogba's salary demands.
