Klopp: Sturridge injury setback not serious

The Liverpool manager says the foot pain suffered by the striker ahead of his expected return against Bordeaux on Thursday is "completely normal" after a long-term injury

Daniel Sturridge's latest injury setback is "not that serious" according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The 26-year-old striker was set to return from a knee injury in the Europa League clash against Bordeaux on Thursday but was missing from the teamsheet after complaining of pain in his foot in training.

Sturridge underwent further tests on the problem earlier on Friday and Klopp has moved to calm fears over another lengthy absence.
