SMU's Chad Morris calls Heisman front-runner Lamar Jackson the 'ultimate' dual-threat quarterback

Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson has taken the college football world by storm.

Through the first four games of the season, Jackson has passed for 1,330 yards, rushed for 526 yards and scored 25 total touchdowns en route to leading Louisville to a perfect 4-0 record.

SMU head coach Chad Morris recalled recruiting Jackson during his time as offensive coordinator at Clemson.

"I remember going down there and visiting him at a track meet as a matter of fact," Morris said. "I talked to him on the phone several times and tried to get him up to Clemson.
