UNIVERSITY PARK -- Connecticut women's coach Geno Auriemma knows there's no such thing as a perfect basketball game or team.
"There's going to be a loss down the road," he said. "Maybe this year, maybe in the tournament, who knows?"
One thing's for sure: That loss didn't happen Saturday. The Huskies set the all-time record for consecutive victories, claiming their 91st over SMU, 88-48, before 3,878 at Moody Coliseum.
UConn, which owns four of the top five all-time streaks, broke the mark it set between 2008 and 2010.
SMU's hope for the all-time biggest upset all but vanished in three minutes.
