The redshirt freshman came up big in his first collegiate season, taking over for the injured Davis. Hicks showed his strong arm and leadership skills, but avoiding mistakes under pressure will be vital to his growth. Having a full year under his belt will help.
Offensive line
The Mustangs were inconsistent up front because of injuries. Building depth on the line will be crucial, but with only one departing senior, Chauncey Briggs, this task will be more about development than recruiting.
