One of Seattle’s seventh-round picks in last weekend’s NFL draft, Clemson running back Zac Brooks, wore No. 24 in college, the same number worn since 2010 by Marshawn Lynch.
But Brooks won’t be able to wear that number with the Seahawks.
Seattle general manager John Schneider said Monday during an interview on the Brock and Salk Show on 710 ESPN Seattle that one of the last things he told Lynch was that no one would wear that number in a game this season.
Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin made his views on that topic public on Saturday with a tweet stating that while he is thrilled with the new teammates that they have to come to Seattle with one condition: “Nobody wears #24 for years to come.
