Seahawks 2016 offseason questions answered

Since the Seahawks' season-ending loss to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC divisional round on Jan. 17, Seattle lost arguably its most iconic player, its longest-tenured starter and a handful of other key contributors for a team that made two straight Super Bowl appearances.

The news wasn't all bad, however. The Seahawks were able to keep a number of their own free agents, including a couple whom most pundits didn't expect back. To that group GM John Schneider added a pair of familiar veterans and a draft class that's generated almost universal acclaim.

The net result leaves Seattle with a roster that should stack up among the best in the NFL as the team begins its offseason practice, including the Seahawks' rookie minicamp that starts on Friday.
