Bears vs. Seahawks: 3 Things We Learned From Each Team

The Seattle Seahawks are no longer winless, but the Chicago Bears can't say the same. The Seahawks blew out the Bears 26-0, with the Seattle defense looking incredible and the Bears offense looking awful. Here are three things we learned about both teams in Seattle's win.

Bears:

1. Jimmy Clausen Isn't The Answer

For anyone that wanted Clausen over Jay Cutler, this game likely ended those thoughts. Clausen completed nine of 17 passes for a meager 67 yards. He didn't have Alshon Jeffery, but Clausen did not look like a starting-caliber QB.

2. Issues Stopping The Run

Marshawn Lynch barely played and the Bears still couldn't stop the Seattle ground game. Seattle averaged 5.5 yards per carry and Thomas Rawls averaged 6.5. If the Bears can't stop the run, the defense is going to have major issues all season.

3. A Long Year Is Upcoming

It's not going to be a fun season for the Bears. There are too many holes on the roster and too many injuries. The Bears will struggle to win games, although they should avoid a winless season. On the bright side, they'll have a chance to get the top overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Seahawks:

1. Offensive Line Still Needs Work

Russell Wilson has been running for his life so far this season and that didn't change against the Bears. Wilson was sacked four times and had to avoid several more. Wilson needs more time in the pocket and Seattle needs its offensive line to improve. It didn't affect the game much against the Bears, but it could be a big factor against better teams.

2. The Seahawks Are Okay Without Lynch

Seattle is a better team with Lynch in the backfield, but that's not to say they are a bad team without him. Rawls played well in place of Lynch, who only had five carries. Rawls racked up 104 yards on 16 carries. If something were to happen to Lynch, Seattle would be okay with Rawls and Fred Jackson.

3. Jimmy Graham Needs The Ball

Graham was reportedly unhappy with his role, but he might change his tune after the game against the Bears. He caught seven passes for 83 yards and a score. His talents are wasted if he is blocking. Graham needs to catch at least five passes every game and be targeted at least seven times. That's what happened this week and the results speak for themselves.
