The 5 Best Draft Picks In Seattle Seahawks History

The 2015 NFL Draft is mere days away, which means it’s time to turn back the clock and take a look at the selections which helped make the Seattle Seahawks the historically relevant franchise they are today. Here’s our list of The 5 Best Draft Picks In Dallas Cowboys History:

5) RB Curtis Warner (1st round, 3rd overall pick in 1983)

Warner had immediate success in the NFL, finishing third in the league in rushing during his rookie season. A knee injury limited his career, but the three-time Pro Bowler has earned his place in the Seahawks Ring of Honor.

4) SS Kam Chancellor (5th round, 133rd overall in 2010)Kam Chancellor

Chancellor helped bring the Seahawks their first Super Bowl (and potentially more), but he ranks this high on the list because of the value of the pick. He's already a three-time Pro Bowler - not bad for a 5th round pick.

3) OT Walter Jones (1st round, 6th overall pick in 1997)

Jones succeeded in the way you would hope a No. 6 overall pick, and his place as arguably the best player in franchise history puts him on the list. The nine-time Pro Bowler was named a first team All-Pro four times, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

2) QB Russell Wilson (3rd round, 75th overall pick in 2012)

Wilson has only been in the league for three years, but he's certainly made his mark on the franchise. He's been Seattle's starting quarterback since he was drafted, and led them to two Super Bowl appearances and one championship.

1) CB Richard Sherman (5th round, 154th overall pick in 2011)shermancrabtree

Even though he was just a 5th round pick, Sherman has cemented himself as one of the best two or three cornerbacks in the league. He's been named to the All-Pro first team three times in his four seasons in the league, and was named NFC Defensive Player of the Year in 2014.
