Seahawks News: "Imperfections" in passing game says QB coach

In today's edition of Seahawks news, the Seattle Seahawks' quarterbacks coach believes there is plenty of work still to do when it comes to improving play in the passing game.

Per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk (by way of SeattleSeahawks.com), Seahawks quarterbacks coach Carl Smith has his eye on a few improvements to the position necessary for the Seahawks in 2014 --

“What we saw was lots of problems, regardless of the end result,” Smith stated in the article. “We saw the imperfections and there’s a lot of work that we’ve still got to do. What we did get cleaned up during our playoff run were penalties and our protections. We had problems with both of those during the season and it made a lot games harder than it could have been.”

In the first half of the season, the Seattle Seahawks' offensive line left Russell Wilson unprotected for hit after hit. The team improved on this in the second half of the season, perhaps a big reason why the Seahawks' offense hummed their way to a Super Bowl championship.
