Seahawk QB Russell Wilson writes a thank you letter to Peyton Manning

On the same night that one of Russell Wilson’s most beloved teammates retire — Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch — so too did one of his heroes play his final game, Denver QB Peyton Manning.

Wilson penned a letter for The Players’ Tribune thanking Manning for being an inspiration, specifically citing his experience at one of Manning’s camps.

Wilson wrote:

“There’s one moment I won’t forget.

10th grade. Louisiana. At your quarterback camp.

You inspired the kid in the green shirt.

You inspired me to work hard. To be disciplined. To be respectful.
